Case Study: Vice Streets – City Wars (AI Video Game Trailer Concept)
Vice Streets: City Wars is a conceptual open-world crime game inspired by the cinematic energy of Miami nightlife, urban chaos, and neon noir. This project was developed as a creative AI experiment to explore how generative video tools can be leveraged in marketing, entertainment, and storytelling.
My Role: Gen AI Monetization
AI tools used:
Adobe Premiere
Chat GPT
Google Labs -Flow
Suno AI Music
Project Goal
Producing a cinematic 60-second game trailer using AI-assisted workflows — combining ChatGPT for JSON prompt engineering with Google Labs Flow (Veo 3) for video generation. Suno Music AI used for the game trailer music.
Objectives
-
Create a fictional brand identity (Vice Streets: City Wars) with logo, narrative, and style direction.
-
Build a complete trailer sequence (intro → city flythroughs → action → branding outro).
- Compose original AI-generated music that matches the tone of a crime-action trailer.
-
Showcase how AI can accelerate content ideation, scripting, and video production, and sound for clients and entertainment media.
Tools & Workflow
1. Ideation & Branding
-
Collaborated with ChatGPT to brainstorm game titles, settling on Vice Streets: City Wars.
-
Designed a neon-inspired logo in the style of classic open-world crime franchises with a modern twist.
-
Defined the overall art direction: Miami neon, 80s synthwave, gritty crime aesthetic.
2. Prompt Engineering with ChatGPT
-
Used ChatGPT to generate structured JSON prompts for Veo/Flow.
-
Prompts included detailed scene descriptions, camera directions, and logo integration.
-
Built modular scenes:
-
Intro overlay (Miami skyline + logo)
-
B-roll (drone city pans, street life)
-
Chase scenes (cars weaving through traffic)
-
Shootouts (nightclub firefight, rooftop ambush)
-
Billboard insert (logo displayed in-world)
-
Outro overlay (logo end card with synth hit)
-
3. Music Creation with Suno AI
-
Defined the audio direction: dark synthwave with cinematic trailer build-ups, heavy bass, and electronic accents.
-
Used Suno AI’s generative music tools to produce multiple variations of trailer music.
-
Selected a version with a rising synth intro, pulsing beats for action, and a final cinematic hit for the outro.
-
Synced the Suno-generated track to the video segments for pacing and dramatic impact.
4. Video Generation in Google Labs Flow (Veo 3)
-
Fed JSON prompts into Flow to generate clips in 8–12s segments for consistency.
-
Iterated re-renders for problem shots (e.g., cars flying unrealistically, logo clarity on billboards).
-
Combined clips using Adobe Premiere video editing software to make a cohesive trailer.

Final Deliverables
-
AI-Generated Game Trailer (60s) showcasing fictional open-world crime chaos.
-
Logo Design: “Vice Streets: City Wars” in neon-styled block typography.
-
Original Soundtrack: Suno AI–generated dark synthwave track.
-
Case Study Documentation for portfolio demonstration.
Key Learnings
-
Prompt precision matters: Small phrasing changes in JSON made big differences in character design and keeping the scene fully consistent, using a master block prompts
-
Breaking scenes into chunks works best: 6–12s clips are easier to control and re-run without burning credits.
- AI music integration enhances immersion: Suno AI made it possible to create a fully original soundtrack without licensing concerns, giving the trailer professional polish.
-
Overlay vs. ingredient approach: Overlay ensures logo clarity; ingredient makes it immersive (billboards/signs).
-
AI + Human Collaboration: ChatGPT accelerated the scripting and structuring process, freeing me to focus on creative direction.

Outcome
The Vice Streets: City Wars trailer demonstrates how AI tools can simulate AAA-level marketing assets — not just video, but also music and branding — quickly and affordably. This project proves how creatives can prototype, test, and visualize entire campaigns without full production resources.
For my portfolio, it serves as both a technical case study in AI prompt engineering and a creative exploration of end-to-end branding through storytelling, visuals, and sound.
